Published: 12 July 2011 y., Tuesday

Reports suggest that after the meeting in Taiwan last week, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty issues a note to clients. He is reported to have written in the note that: "Apple’s next iPhone will begin production in mid to late August and ramp aggressively".

He has reported to have said that though the 72 million units will not be changed, the prediction is that in the third quarter release for iPhone 5. The note also suggests it would ‘drive upside’ to their estimates, if the iPhone came out early September.

The report further mentioned the lower priced iPhones and an Apple-branded TV, and predicted the increase of the number of iPhone units 2012 and added ‘on the back of new products and potentially lower price points’. He has reported to have said iPad shipments were also addressed in the note, stating that the Japan earthquake has lead to upward pressure on iPad shipments. The note has said that many constraints have improved negotiated prices of components which would boost margins ‘modestly in the June quarter and more in September’.
