In the last week of February New Orleans became the venue of the world's biggest annual ATMIA US Conference organized by the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) uniting over 5 thousand members.

Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2) also took part in the event, and, together with its American partner, Almod Corporation, presented the ".iQ" family of software products for banks and other financial institutions.

The ATMeye.iQ video surveillance solution turned out to be their greatest hit at the conference. For 16 years already, this software product is successfully used in some 70 world countries in order to protect ATMs and prevent cases of fraud and vandalism.

Almod Corporation’s President Leonid Soroka welcomed the cooperation with BS/2 and the ability to present ATMeye.iQ  at such a major global event. "Our participation in this conference is an opportunity not only to present our products and services, but also a great chance to meet our current as well as potential customers and learn about their expectations. I am glad we were able to do it together with BS/2 partner company, and we look forward to further successful cooperation", - Mr Soroka said.

According to BS/2 Marketing Director Boris Kuzmas, the security issues in the US banking sector are particularly relevant - and this provides quite a number of opportunities. "Unlike many European countries, where chip cards are used, in the US cards have a magnetic stripe. This is an outdate technology that does not provide a comprehensive user data security. This is why the ATM security turns out to be a priority issue, and specialized software solutions are in high demand. Besides, as US financial organizations are in migration to the EMV standard, this opens new opportunities for modern solutions that better meet the banks as well as their customers' expectations", - Mr Kuzmas said.

Bank officers and independent ATM deployers were also interested in other BS/2 solutions, such as Service Desk.iQ hardware network automation solution, Cash Management.iQ cash flow management, control and optimization solution, etc.

During the three days of the ATMIA US Conference it was attended by over 1,000 representatives of ATM manufacturers, integrators, IT and maintenance companies, banks and other financial institutions.
