EcoVadis Silver Rating Granted to BS/2

Published: 5 April 2018 y., Thursday

The international EcoVadis company has granted its silver corporate social responsibility (CSR) rating to Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (aka BS/2) company. This indicates that the Lithuanian company cares about CSR and has a relevant actions plan. Namely, BS/2 is responsible for its decisions and activities’ impact on society and the environment; it contributes to sustainable development, cares for the welfare and health of its personnel and the local community, following the international transparency and ethical standards. The CSR policies are implemented throughout the company, involving all its employees. Many of its principles apply not only to BS/2 but to the entire Penki Kontinentai group of companies.

EcoVadis aims to improve environmental and social practices of companies across 150 sectors in 110 world countries. Its monitoring tools and ratings encourage companies to apply eco-innovations and manage risky environments.

BS/2 doesn't tolerate corruption; it cooperates with the law enforcement institutions when the information about cybercrimes is needed. There is no way to intolerance or discrimination, but equal rights for all. BS/2 also focuses on the social integration of the disabled. For example, its software solution enabling the blind people to use ATMs independently, was a hit at the Lithuanian Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired People, as well as in Georgia. For a decade the company has supported the “Viltis” welfare society for people with intellectual disabilities, and its “Neighborhood and Friendship” festivals.

"First of all, if we wish to contribute to a more friendly environment, we should start with ourselves. It’s great that our company promotes waste segregation, or that we have recreation areas for our employees. The works of art acquired by our company not only create inspirational mood, but support artists as well. I am also glad that our company is open to the public: we hold guided tours for students who are introduced not only to professions – but to our corporate culture. We hope that this encourages young people to follow our example," says Tomas Augucevičius, BS/2 Executive Manager.

The Penki Kontinentai (and BS/2) head office interior is decorated with the flower compositions and artworks from around the globe. For several years its beautifully decorated workspace has won the Vilnius municipality awards.
