“Penki kontinentai Riga” has signed a cooperation agreement with “NORVIK BANKA”

Published: 27 August 2014 y., Wednesday

In early August, this year, “Penki kontinentai Riga”, a subsidiary of an international company “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2), was recognized a winner of a tender on the supply and maintenance of ATMs of “NORVIK BANKA”. The first ProCash 280 ATM of “Wincor Nixdorf” has already been installed in the central bank office. The pilot project provides that the remaining ATMs will be installed and put into operation in the bank’s divisions by the end of this year.

AB “NORVIK BANKA” established in 1992 is one of the oldest commercial banks in Latvia. It manages the largest network of branches in the country. “NORVIK BANKA” unites 80 service centers in 17 cities of Latvia, including Riga, Daugavpils, Liepaja, Ventspils, Rezekne, Jurmala, etc.

“After lengthy negotiations and discussions, the first ProCash 280 ATM was installed in the central office of “NORVIK BANKA” in Riga.  This is the first bank in the country that uses this line of ATMs. For BS/2, this is a great opportunity to establish new partnership, acquire new knowledge and experience. The fact that the project was completed in a very short period of time and preceded all the planned deadlines is the result of careful and responsible work of “Penki kontinentai Riga” and BS/2. In the near future, the pilot project should develop into an industrial operation, thus we will have to perform numerous certifications and tests. I am sure that all the necessary work will be carried out and completed on time, ensuring high quality”, said Jaroslavas Pupinas, Director of “Penki kontinentai Riga”.

“Penki kontinentai Riga” has been operating in Latvia since 2000. Its main activities are supply and maintenance of banking equipment.
