The upgrade of the Lithuanian Armed Forces IT infrastructure

Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras (PKKC), part of the Penki kontinentai group, which owns the ProfIT trademark, won the tender for the fiber-optic communication lines supply to the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas Staff Battalion.

“For organizations, responsible for the security of our country, the speed of reaction and stable means of communication is extremely important. Modern technology ensures the highest speed of the Internet. We are pleased to contribute to the upgrade of the network infrastructure of the Lithuanian armed forces. This is not the first significant project realized by our company," says Romas Rimgaila, PKKC Director.

PKKC offers to enterprises IT services complex ProfIT, which includes infrastructure establishment and systems administration, virtual resource rental, computer equipment in workplace, licensing and server maintenance. Recently, the company won the tender to upgrade the IT infrastructure of all three Lithuanian state airports.

The Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas Staff Battalion was established in 1993. Its main purpose is to ensure the protection and functioning of strategic command posts. The battalion cooperates with NATO and includes an Honor Guard and a military band.
