Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos Awarded Innovative Product Prize

This December 16 Lithuanian capital's Vaidilos theater hosted the 12th Innovaton Prize awards ceremony for 2016. The gala event was attended by the Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists‘ (LPK) President Robert Dargis, Minister of Economy Mindaugas Sinkevicius, politicians, industry and business leaders, LPK members and partners.

The winner In the Innovative Product category was Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2), which is part of Penki kontinentai group of companies. The independent panel of experts awarded the company for its efforts and results while developing the unique VTM.iQ hard- and software solution for banking and financial market. The solution has been introduced and successfully operates in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

VTM.iQ is an unmanned bank branch. It includes a CuRiE multifunctional terminal, a Diebold Nixdorf‘s CS 6060 ATS as well BS/2-developed software. The unit is an easy and convenient customer service channel which can significantly extend the service area, to be closer to customers and to reduce costs and optimize cash-related processes.

Receiving the prize, CEO of BS/2 Tomas Bublys said that the award meant a sound assessment of efforts taken – and a stimulus for further development. "We are convinced that the future of business is in innovations and technology. However, in today's dynamic world full of intelligent solutions it‘s not at all easy to be innovative. I am therefore delighted that our innovative project was noticed and appreciated on the national level; this is the appreciation of our experienced professionals‘ team – and a great stimulus for the continuation of their hard work," Mr Bublys said.

The Innovation Prize contest is held by Lithuanian Innovation Center NGO and Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. It is aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial skills, developing technologies and innovation. The event is patronized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy.
