BS/2 celebrates its 10th anniversary of operations

BS/2, which is a member of Penki Kontinentai group of companies and specialises in providing banking equipment and outsourced services for banks and the retail trading sectors, has celebrated its 10th anniversary of operations. Its first 4 automated teller machines were installed in Vilnius in 1992. Since then, BS/2 has sold about 40,000 self-service machines and created many innovative software solutions.

“With our long-term operational experience in the field of self-service machines, artificial intelligence technologies and the latest methods of transmitting data, we offered .iQ Family Products first to the Lithuanian market, then the international market. These products unite business process monitoring, management and security products, and they identify the information needed to make decisions at the time when it is essential”, said BS/2 Director of Sales Department Paulius Bučelis.

BS/2 is the only certified Wincor Nixdorf partner in Eastern Europe to open a certified training centre (the second in the world) for this manufacturer’s products. Today the Company also offers technical maintenance and support of the equipment, consultation on getting certification processes done and training. Through its operations over the past decade, BS/2 has established 11 agencies abroad, which employ about 80 certified technical specialists.

At the beginning of 2011, BS/2 successfully implemented the globally acclaimed ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) V3 recommendations for IT company operations and also completed the implementation of Standard ISO 20000 for service management. This means that the Company’s IT service management structure meets the best practice requirements for the creation, installation, implementation and management monitoring of technical services.

BS/2 has been acclaimed more than once by ATMIA (the ATM Industry Association) and has won national prizes for the Product of the Year and  Innovation Prize .

BS/2 Company will celebrate a 10th anniversary festivity on 28 April in the Penki Kontinentai Functions Centre. The celebration, which will have the theme “East–West”, will be attended by about 50 invited guests from the Baltic countries, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The evening’s guests will enjoy an impressive program of entertainment, food and games.
