CeBIT 2012 Has Just Finished in Hanover

In March 6-10, CeBIT 2012, one of the largest events of the IT, digital, and telecommunications industries, took place in Hanover, Germany, gathering in one place the most serious businessmen in the field from around the world. The fair's most important topics were IT security and managing trust. Significant attention was also paid by the organizers to cloud technologies, the mobile Internet, and products for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). According to Ernst Raue, one of the organizers of the fair, these topics were selected, because they are interesting to most people.

"Reducing the gap between confidence in modern technologies and the actual trustworthiness of digital solutions - this is the only way for innovation to reach full strength. Suppliers and users have to recognize that managing trust and confidence in intelligent solutions and processes is a central function of management,“ said Raue.

It was not the first time that specialists from the Penki Kontinentai group had attended CeBIT. The company offers their customers various IT services (ranging from telecommunication solutions to banking software); for this reason, the company's representatives are constantly attending various events to see what's hot in the market. This year CeBiT was attended, in order to learn about new trends and to see new things, by Paulius Bučelis, the head of the Sales Department at the BS/2 company.

"Being a banking technology company, we are especially interested in solutions for the banking and retail sectors. Developers of such solutions traditionally gather in a separate pavilion. This year most of the attention was attracted by products designed for ensuring security, ranging from antivirus software from various vendors to advanced biometric solutions. Security solutions are developed and offered by BS/2 as well. ATMeye.iQ, one of these products, not only ensures the security of self-service devices, but also helps reduce the risk of fraud and vandalism; for this reason, it is interesting for us to learn new global trends," commented the BS/2 representative.

According to him, what caught the eye was an abundance of products from Brazil. At the exhibition, over a hundred companies from this country offered a multitude of new IT solutions. At CeBIT 2012, a total of over 4,000 companies from 70 countries presented their products and services.
