"Penki TV” shall introduce works of foreign students

Students Sonia Tomegros Regalado and Ivan Bonet Pizzarro from the professional school Institut Pere Martell based near Barcelona had spent two months of this summer in the studio of TV channel “Penki TV” and have presented their documentary film “Vilnius – another European city or not?”.  Thus, the Spanish will soon have the opportunity to learn more about the capital of Lithuania and the viewers of “Penki TV” channel will take a look at the works created by the young artists.

According to Borisas Binevičius who runs the studio of “Penki TV”, the authors of the channel are glad with the opportunity to contribute to the professional development of young people as well as popularization of the name of Vilnius.

“Sonia and Ivan who worked at our studio of “Penki TV” under the ERASMUS exchange program had an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the daily work of the studio, to see how author programs, reportages are created, people are interviewed, product commercials and various clips are made. Moreover, they were able to consult with experienced journalists, editors, operators and creative personnel working at the studio. And the result of a two-months work of the young artists is a spectacular premiere of the film about Vilnius which will be demonstrated on the channel “Penki TV” this autumn as well as the acquaintance of the Spanish with this city”, said B. Binevičius.

The documentary film created by the Spanish students is a 20-minute story about two days in Vilnius. According to the author and implementor of the idea S. Tomegros Regalado, the aim of the film is to introduce Spanish people to Vilnius.

“Vilnius is a very interesting and lively city with unique architecture, culture and people. However, in Spain, people know little about Lithuania and Vilnius. In our film, we present architectural masterpieces of Lithuanian capital and talk about fun things to do in this city”, told the student of audio-visual arts.

Sonia and Ivan were also given an opportunity to participate in the international project “Vasaros MEDIA studija” (Summer MEDIA Studio) which took place in Neringa. It is the annual training organized by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre for students of audio-visual art schools of the European Union countries. The viewer of “Penki TV” will soon be able to view five films created by the Spanish students in cooperation with the team of the channel.
