Challenges and Development Trends of the Banking and Retail Sectors — at IN TOUCH ALMATY 2018

One of the largest international conferences IN TOUCH ALMATY 2018 will take place in Kazakhstan on October 25, where experts of banking technology and retail will meet. The companies Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2) and ASHBURN International, which are parts of the Penki kontinentai group, in collaboration with the world leader in banking technology and retail solutions Diebold Nixdorf, organize it every year in different countries.

IN TOUCH ALMATY 2018 is a platform for communication between international and regional partners, as well as potential customers. An interactive exhibition of the latest technologies will be held at the conference, where payment systems, specialized equipment and innovative software solutions will be presented.

“We highly appreciate the intellectual potential of Kazakhstan, so the choice of the venue for the conference is not accidental. Of course, the main goal is a dialogue that will allow us to compare how our visions and forecasts correspond to the experts’ estimates. The local professionals’ opinion, their comments and recommendations are important for our future development strategy,” says Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairperson of the Penki kontinentai Board.

According to him, new technologies used by financial institutions abroad are of increasing interest among banks representatives in Kazakhstan.

“Digitalization covers a wide range of areas — from mobile and online banking, customers’ behavior research to biometrics, replacing passwords for authorization. Those, who ignore innovations today, risk losing positions tomorrow, therefore Kazakhstan is experiencing a real boom in the banking technologies development currently,” concludes I. Dadašovas.

It is planned that representatives of the banking and retail sectors from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan will attend the conference this year. Within the framework of a one-day seminar, numerous discussions will take place in order to ideas exchange. Experts from Lithuania, Russia, Georgia, Moldova and Germany will make presentations on innovations in the field of banking technologies and successful experience in introducing innovative technologies. In addition, conference participants will have the opportunity to discuss the current market condition and business process automation. Particular attention will be given to an individual approach to each client.
