Ingenico Introduces Innovative Payment Solution for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Published: 12 March 2018 y., Monday
During the recent Mobile World Congress  that took place February 26-March 1 in Barcelona, Ingenico , one of the world's largest POS terminals manufacturers, introduced its innovative Axium POS platform, which combines electronic cash register (ECR) and POS terminal, for small and medium businesses.

The first ECR POS model, Axium D7 is a modular ECR tablet, developed for merchants' professional usage, and accepting the latest generation payments.

According to ASHBURN International  (part of Penki Kontinentai group) executive manager Žoržas Šarafanovičius, the solution presented by Ingenico is a hit in the market.

"It is great that we were among the first to get acquainted with Axium capabilities. Its main advantage is that with its help we'll be able to provide our clients with a comprehensive solution. We can say for sure that the new Ingenico product will become a hit in the countries where we work, "says Šarafanovičius.

In the time to come ASHBURN International plans to complete the newest Ingenico's Telium Tetra OS version, adapted for POS terminals, certification. It will also work on the Axium platform, where the terminal part uses Telium Tetra, and the ECR runs on Android.
Speaking about the Axium real benefits, Šarafanovičius says, "For banks, this is an opportunity to offer their customers premium services package, while consumers get a universal solution that includes both payment terminal and ECR in one. This allows saving on leasing, or purchasing, two separate devices".

ASHBURN International and Ingenico have closely cooperated since 2008, when first POS terminals were introduced in the Baltic countries - and starting from 2013, ASHBURN International is its official partner in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

More than 107,000 business people from around the world attended the Mobile World Congress, during which Axium was introduced, and over 200 companies showed their products and made presentations.
