Every year, the Lithuanian Business Confederation organizes the prestigious contest Service of the Year (Metų paslauga) among the leaders of innovative business and science. The aim of the award is to encourage Lithuanian companies to create competitive, high-value-added services that meet today's market and consumer needs.

Winners in 12 nominations were announced at the award ceremony. ASHBURN International, a member of Penki Kontinentai group, has been recognized as the best export company of the year.

The jury evaluated the projects for implementing a software solution for transaction routing and payment terminal network managing TransLink.iQ in international markets. Special recognition was awarded to the project in Uzbekistan: the solution integration at the Common Republican Processing Center, which serves financial transactions of 250,000 EFTPOS terminals and provides services to 29 banks in the country.

“Product development requires special knowledge, especially when the field is rather narrow, and the service existence is not all. Today we received the award as a recognition of our success and active sales abroad. Our company is a reliable partner. Large foreign enterprises, banks, processing centers trust us with their infrastructure. I am proud of the team and that the result of our joint work was highly appreciated,” says the ASHBURN International CEO Žoržas Šarafanovičius.

TransLink.iQ, which is widely used both in the Baltic countries and abroad, received the gold medal of the annual Lithuanian Product of the Year competition (Lietuvos metų gaminys) from the Lithuanian Industrialists' Confederation. According to the developers, TransLink.iQ is an innovation not only of today, but also of tomorrow, which can be adapted to the needs of the financial market of any country.

“Innovation, of course, plays a special role. They move the world forward. In the XXI century, when supply creates demand, we integrate new products into our daily lives. That is why the Lithuanian Business Confederation seeks to inspire innovation. It is gratifying that every year new products and ideas appear in Lithuania. We can sell then abroad, so, according to prof. A. Bumelis, Lithuanian business has a bright future,” says Valdas Sutkus, President of the Lithuanian Business Confederation.

This is not the first award of the Lithuanian Business Confederation received by the company of Penki Kontinentai group. Last year, the winner in the same category was a banking technology company Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2) with its own АТМеуе.iQ security solution.
