Evaldas Girskus, the new Head of Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras, part of the Penki Kontinentai Group, providing Penki fiber-optic Internet and TV, as well as ProfIT outsourcing IT services, assumes his duties on Monday, June 22, 2020.

“Lithuania’s telecommunications sector is a competitive and complex market that requires a special strategic approach and new development directions for providing customers and business partners with high-quality and innovative services in accordance with their business strategy. We hope that the new leader, who has extensive experience working in large foreign IT companies, will help strengthen our market position,” says Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairperson of the Penki Kontinentai Board.

Evaldas Girskus lived in London for a long time and worked for such well-known companies as Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Google. He graduated from the University of East London with a degree in Computer Information Systems in Business. Evaldas has programming and system integration skills, as well as 15 years’ experience in the management, strategic development and marketing of international business.

Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras revenue in the first quarter of 2020 increased by 6 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1.03 million euros.

More than 120,000 apartments in many districts of Vilnius are connected to the Penki network, that provides services of high-speed Internet and IPTV. This is the first provider in Lithuania offering exceptional Internet connection speed to its customers: in 2008 - 100 Mb/s, in 2012 - 1 Gb/s. The Internet at a speed of 10 Gb/s was first tested in the country in November 2017.

The company is also known as a provider of a range of IT-services for business ProfIT. Among its clients are more than 1000 Lithuanian state enterprises and large companies.
