President Adamkus Conveys Condolences to Families of Victims in Winnenden School Shooting

 

President Valdas Adamkus extended his deep condolences to the Federal President of Germany, Horst Köhler, and the families of those students who died in the school shooting in Winnenden, and also to all who were touched by the tragic incident.

“Today our thoughts are with the victim’s families and friends. This meaningless act of aggression once again reminds us of our duty to reduce violence and brutality in modern society so that our children and students are safe at school, day-care centers and streets and that that our citizens do not feel endangered and unsafe,” Mr. Adamkus wrote in his message of condolences.
