Ukraine And Poland Sign Military Cooperation Deal
Ukraine and Poland on Tuesday signed an agreement on military cooperation for next year, allowing for joint exercises and military conferences to be attended by members of both countries' armed forces, the defense ministry here said. The accord was signed during a visit by Poland's chief of staff, General Czeslaw Piatas, to the Ukrainian capital, a defense ministry spokesman said. Piatas met his Ukrainian counterpart Volodomir Shkitchenko and Foreign Minister Anatoli Zlenko, the spokesman said. He is also to meet Defense Minister Olexander Kuzmuk before leaving on Thursday.
