Lithuania's Foreign Minister expressed his Condolences to Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the death of Soldiers in Afghanistan
On 22 September, Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas sent a letter to Italy’s head of diplomacy Franco Frattini and presented his condolences to the Italian people and the relatives of the soldiers who had perished in Afghanistan.
On 17 September in Kabul, six Italian soldiers were killed and four more were wounded. It is the most serious loss within five years of the presence of Italian troops in Afghanistan.
