Strasbourg plenary session 19-22 October

Money for energy investment and a €300 million dairy fund for stricken farmers could be two measures MEPs back next week as part of the 2010 EU budget. The week will also see debates on climate change and the agenda of the next EU summit, which is likely to deal with who will get the EU's new top posts. The week also sees a Q&A session between MEPs and Commission President José Manuel Barroso. A resolution on the freedom of information in Italy and other EU countries will also be voted.
