"New Moon's" 140 million dollar weekend

The "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" ruled the weekend box office. But the teen-vampire flick not only came in number one, it scored the third-biggest opening weekend of all time at the North American box office.

"New Moon" earned an estimated 140.7 million dollars during its first three days of release.
