Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister participated in Bilateral Consultations in Riga
On 9 March in Riga, Lithuania’s Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Evaldas Ignatavičius took part in bilateral consultations between foreign ministries of Lithuania and Latvia.
State Secretary of Latvia’s Foreign Ministry Andris Teikmanis also attended the meeting, during which the Lithuanian-Latvian relations, European Union’s Eastern Partnership initiative, security, energy and other issues were discussed.
Vice-Minister E.Ignatavičius and Inspector General of the Foreign Ministry of Latvia Mārtiņš Virsis exchanged opinions on the functioning of diplomatic representations and consular posts when the financing of the diplomatic service had been significantly reduced.
