The regional cooperation
Presidents of Romania, Poland, Croatia and Macedonia met on Wednesday afternoon at Krakow to discuss about the strengthening of the regional cooperation and the role of the Central-East-European countries in the international politics. Ion Iliescu, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Stipe Mesici and Boris Trajkovski visited the College Majus of the Jagiellone University from Krakow and discussed in the library of this institution. President Iliescu said the main themes of the discussion referred to the regional cooperation, the Iraqi reconstruction, the extension of the European Union, the NATO admission and the UN reform. The chief of the Romanian state mentioned that Romania would participate in maintaining the peace in Iraq within the field coordinated by Poland.
