Rolandas Paksas ousted as president of Lithuania
Lithuanian President Rolandas Paksas has been impeached. The decision was based on an official vote of members of the Seimas. 86 deputies voted for the impeachment. According to law, two-thirds of the Seimas deputies or 85 members must vote for part of the accusations. He was hospitalized Tuesday evening. Lithuanian national radio said Paksas had suffered a heart attack. He is being attended by a team of physicians.
