Romania hopes for Estonian support for EU membership bid

Romania's Minister for European Integration, Alexandru Farcas, voiced in a meeting with members of the Estonian Parliament’s European Affairs Committee the hope that Estonia will back his country's integration into the European Union. "As a successful acceding country, Estonia is an example to Romania and we hope you will support us in the process of negotiations with the EU," Farcas said. The Chairman of the committee, Rein Lang, briefed the Romanian Minister about the procedure of handling EU-related matters and gave him an overview of the principles governing the panel's work.
