On May 17, a unique vertical race to the Europa skyscraper took place in Vilnius for the tenth anniversary. The organizers of this sporting event are traditionally Hanner Real Estate Company and the Lithuanian Running Cup team. Penki Kontinentai group of companies provides continuous financial support to the event.
In addition, the employees of the group themselves actively participate in the event. This year, for the fourth time already, the Penki kontinentai team, consisting of employees of ASHBURN International, Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2), Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras and Penki Kontinentai, was recognized as the largest running club.
Hanner manager Arvydas Avulis, congratulating the team, expressed his joy at the fact that the team is getting bigger every year. This time as many as 25 colleagues from the group of companies ran! The race organizer Audrius Jaraminas thanked the team for their support and jokingly lifted Arvydas Avulis and Penki Kontinentai Communications Project Manager Raimonda Sunklodaitė in his arms. Raimonda not only coordinated organizational issues related to the team but also covered the distance of the race herself. She took an honorable third place among her female colleagues.
The fastest runner of the Penki Kontinentai team was once again Remigijus Baldauskas, Head of the PENKI Marketing Department, who covered the distance in 4 minutes 14.9 seconds. He participated in this race for the fifth year in a row and took first place among his colleagues for the third time. In his free time, Remigijus prefers active recreation and especially likes to ride a bicycle.
Among women from the group of companies, the first to finish was BS/2 HR manager Anieta Diraitytė, who took part in the race for the second time and improved her result to 6 minutes 24.9 seconds. Anieta builds endurance through CrossFit training and practices ice baths. She not only leads an active lifestyle herself but is also a certified instructor in conscious breathing and Yoga Nidra.
This year more than 300 runners - both professionals and amateurs of different ages and professions - took part in the race. Traditionally, firefighters also participated in the race, running with equipment weighing 12 kilograms. And the age difference between the youngest and the oldest participant was as much as 75 years!
