Search for war crimes fugitive

Published: 11 November 2008 y., Tuesday

In a small town in central Serbia officials are hoping to uncover the man accused of masterminding the slaughter of thousands of Bosnian Muslim men and boys Srebrenica in 1995.

That year Mladic was indicted on counts of genocide, crimes against humanity and violation of the laws of war in Bosnia-Hercegovina between 1992 and 1995.

Capture of Mladic would secure Serbia's path to EU membership.
