The Visit

    Presidents of Azerbaijan and Lithuania Ilham Aliyev and Valdis Adamkus held a meeting on 13 October 2005 in Baku, the press service of the Azerbaijan's President told Trend.   

Exchange of views took place at the meeting on bilateral and regional issues and on international matters. The President of Lithuania reported on the results of his visit to Afghanistan.   

It should be noted, the aircraft of the President of Lithuania made a short-term stop in Baku for re-fuelling. Adamkus completed his tour to Afghanistan and heads to Zagreb, Croatia for taking part in the meeting of leaders of the Central European countries. Adamkus is accompanied by the Foreign and Defense Ministers, the Commander-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the Seym members, journalists.
