Vakaru Lietuvos pramones ir finansu korporacija Corporation plans to start the construction of an oil and chemical terminals on the territory of the port, as well as grain transshipment and soy refining terminals.

Oil and gas terminal of 2 mil tons a tear capacity will be constructed on the territory of Kroviniu terminalas JSC.
According to the estimated figures, the cost of the project will be 79 mil Litts. It will be compensated in 7-9 years.
Besides that, a Russian firm Roschleboprodukt plans to construct a soy refining factory of 0.5 tons a year capacity.
Phase 1 of the construction will necessitate the investment of 20 mil Litts already. The Klaipeda Seaport director Algirdas Kamapauskas considers the project realization in 3-4 years possible. After the project's implementation the port's turnover will increase up to 8 mil tons a year.
