UMAX Broadens PowerLook III Family with New Professional-Level Scanner.

UMAX Technologies, Inc., the U.S. scanner market leader and supplier of award-winning imaging and computer technologies, extended its PowerLook family with the PowerLook IIIse scanner, available for an estimated street price of $895. This scanner ships with the PhotoPerfect Advanced Software Bundle and is designed for reflective scanning only. UMAX also announced today a 30% price reduction on its award-winning PowerLook III scanner with a transparency adapter, now available at a suggested retail price of $1795, from its previous price of $2595. The PowerLook III includes the PhotoPerfect Master Software Bundle."As more graphics companies, photographers and pre-press professionals are taking scanning in house, UMAX continues to keep professional quality scanners affordable for this market," said John Roman, senior director of marketing for UMAX Technologies.
