The creation a textile join venture.

American E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Russian Trading House Dargez have created a joint venture for producing textiles for bed coverings under the trademark DuPont Somerelle. This was announced by Barry James, the concern_s director of sales in Eastern Europe (Dacron division). According to Mr. James, the joint production was set up at OAO Peropukh (a factory producing down-filled products in Zarai), part of the Dargez holding, and the largest down and feather product manufacturer in Europe. According to the agreement, the American partners supply the brand name and the know-how, and the Russian partners handle production and distribution. ZAO Trading House Dargez was created in 1992 and is the largest manufacturer of bed clothing in Russia. It is a supplier of bed clothing for the Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, and the government of the Russia.
