“Hexagon AB” comes to Lithuania

The Board of “Brown & Sharpe-Precizika” of Vilnius has announced that Sweden’s “Hexagon AB” now controls 53% of the company’s shares.
“Brown & Sharpe-Precizika”- is a Lithuanian daughter company of the world’s biggest metrological equipment producer “Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company”, which has recently been purchased by Sweden’s “Hexagon AB”. Beside the Lithuanian “Brown & Sharpe-Precizika”, the Swedish company also acquired “Brown & Sharpe’s” other daughter companies in Germany ( “Leiz”), Italy (“Dea”) and Switzelrand (“Tesa”).
“Brown & Sharpe-Precizika” of Vilnius has been producing and selling its own coordinate measuring machines, components and accessories. “We export 97% of our products to Western markets, with 45% going to the US and the remainder to Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic”, said Dr.Algimantas Barakauskas, Director General of “Brown & Sharpe-Precizika”. “We hope that with the new shareholder the growth of our company will be even faster and our profits will increase”, continued Mr.Barakauskas.
