The new index compares aggregated online investment data from Ameritrade customers to other market indicators and offers investors, analysts and journalists added insight to market behavior and trends. It is the first daily measurement of how individual investors are participating in the stock market. With proven information analysis and delivery capabilities, MicroStrategy's technology provides the back-end functionality required to track and report the buying and selling activity of online investors who use Ameritrade's brokerage services. MicroStrategy 6 enables Ameritrade to perform sophisticated information analysis, generate the index by isolating online investor activity, aggregate it and report it. MicroStrategy Agent, a sophisticated analysis component of MicroStrategy's Intelligent E-Business Platform, creates the index from aggregate data drawn from an Oracle data warehouse that includes more than 560,000 active Ameritrade accounts. Individual account information is not disclosed in reporting the index and remains confidential at all time. In addition to indicating how online investors are behaving on any given day, MicroStrategy Agent also reports the top ten stocks Ameritrade online investors bought and sold. The Ameritrade Online Investment Index is delivered to and posted at www.ameritradeindex.com. In the near future the index will be distributed to major financial media outlets via MicroStrategy Broadcaster, MicroStrategy's proactive information broadcasting tool that delivers requested information via e-mail, mobile phone, pager, or fax.
