DFDS Transport Plans EUR 8.7 M investment in a New Logistics Centre in Vilnius

DFDS Transport, one of Lithuania’s major transport and logistics companies will invest EUR 8.7 million in the construction of a new logistics terminal in Vilnius, which will be completed in May 2004.
“We have planned the investment on the eve of Lithuania’s accession to the EU as we are getting ready for the competition on the common European transport market”, said Kim Bartholdy, Director for Finance and administration of DFDS Transport.
DFDS Transport increased cargo shipment by 22% in the first 6 months of 2003 compared to the same period of the previous year and plans to increase the turnover by 7% in 2003.
