Private Label Supply Agreement Signed with Airdata WIMAN Systems

Published: 18 March 1999 y., Thursday
RAD Data Communications, an international manufacturer of data and telecommunications access equipment, has announced a private label agreement with wireless technology developer Airdata WIMAN Systems. Under the agreement, Airdata will offer RAD networking equipment as part of the WIMAN (Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks) System suite of products. The WIMAN System is a highly scaleable data transmission network that allows providers to offer customers wireless service over ranges much greater than those typically associated with high-speed wireless data communications. Networks can be built up in stages around a growing customer base, allowing a rollout without the large initial capital investment traditionally associated with data and telecommunications infrastructure. The agreement with Airdata will add a new dimension to the scope of RAD_s target market. Airdata is a pioneer in high-speed wireless data transmission, undertaking many projects that until recently were not conceivable in the industry. As a result, they have adopted a strategy of allying themselves with respected, established industry leaders to facilitate acceptance of their products in the marketplace. When they began development of the Pop-In-A-Box, an all-inclusive, plug and play type application of their wide area network, they also began a search for a reputable supplier of the necessary networking equipment. RAD_s reputation for manufacturing quality equipment for data and telecommunications applications made them a logical choice. Visit Hall 15, Stand G06.
