Danish telecommunications group Tele Danmark said on Wednesday said its half-owned Contactel unit had acquired Czech Internet provider CESNET for an undisclosed sum.

CESNET is one of the top Internet providers in the Czech Republic with a 20 percent market share and more than 90 percent of its customers are businesses, Tele Danmark said in a statement.
Contactel is a 50/50 owned joint venture established last year between Tele Danmark and partly-owned Ceske Radiokomunikace.
