The shopping centre

“Baltic Shopping Centres” (BSC), a branch of the German company “Objekt-Entwicklung”, started the construction of one of the biggest shopping centres in Northern Europe. The shopping centre will be situated in one of the central parts of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The project will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage a 25,000 sq.m. shopping area with 20-30 big shops and a car parking for 1400 cars will be built. Similar trade centres will also be built in Kaunas and Klaipėda. Vilnius trade center will be opened in the autumn of 2002, Kaunas – in the spring of 2003 and Klaipėda – in 2004. In this project “Baltic Shopping Centres” cooperate with “ICA-Ahold” group, uniting several major retail newtworks: “Royal Ahold” in the Netherlands, “ICA” in Sweden and “Hakon” in Norway.
