TeliaSonera Sweden to build communications platform for Swedish police

Finnish-Swedish telecomms operator TeliaSonera AB said on Wednesday (2 June) that it had signed an agreement with the Swedish National Police Board (Rikspolisstyrelsen) for TeliaSonera Sweden (Telia) to build the new communications platform DART2 for the Swedish po
lice force.
Under the terms of the agreement, Telia would assume complete responsibility for the functionality of the platform.
DART 2 would be used to link communication systems for data, radio, telephony, video and alarm handling at more than 500 police stations in Sweden, according to the company.
The three-year agreement was estimated to be worth SEK200-250m.
