Cher can't figure out why everyone's so crazy about reality TV shows.

``What we did was stupid and naive and fun. Today, TV is just cruel,'' she said Thursday. ``I don't know why people feel the need to debase themselves publicly. I don't think you should crush your spirit to get on TV.''
Cher, who spoke to an Atlanta Braves Wives benefit for children with craniofacial problems, recalled her days on the '70s variety show ``The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.''
She starred on the show with her then-husband Sonny Bono, who died in a skiing accident in 1998.
``I felt like a paper doll,'' the 55-year-old singer-actress said, referring to her Bob Mackie-designed outfits. ``I remember thinking as I tried on one outfit, `Sonny's gonna have a heart attack when he sees me wearing this.' It was a loincloth with the side removed. When Sonny saw it, he was a little bit ...Italian.''
