International Internet festival-99

Moscow International Internet festival-99 (http://idaystars.ru) is held from July 30 till September 30, 1999. During the festival Internet users have received opportunity of learning the best works in the Russian Internet, estimating advanced Internet technologies, revealing new possibilities of human communication in the virtual computer area. One of the central events of the festival is Census of Russian Internet users. Now the number of the filled forms has exceeded 6000. The total number of visits of the festival_s page has exceeded 91000. Internet festival has already supported more than 600 companies, organizations and Web-sites from the following countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Estonia, Litva, Latvia, Kirgizia, Kazahstan, Armenia, Israel, USA, Germany, Canada, Dania, France, Argentina, Thailand. The 4th subject week of the Internet festival (23-29 September, 1999) was devoted to the Russian and world literature. The week is not chosen by chance - it is devoted to the 250th anniversary of the great German poet and philosopher - Iogan Volfgan Goethe, his anniversary was celebrated on August 28, 1999. The research work of Nicolay Vilmont, the Russian scientist - "Gete and his time" - was published.
