At Spring Networld + Interop 99, Microsoft announced the availability of BackOffice Server 4.5 and also joined Compaq to unveil Media Training Server, a flexible corporate training solution. Network Computing Magazine handed out their annual "Well-Connected" awards, honoring two Microsoft products: Site Server Standard Edition for the Best Web Management Suite category and Microsoft COM and DCOM for the middleware category.
