Nicole Kidman's latest film Moulin Rouge kicked off the 54th Annual Cannes Film Festival Wednesday--and spurred debate among French critics, according to Reuters. Said one critic in France's Liberation newspaper, "It's like the very worst Disney, only dripping in camp.'' Said another critic in France's Le Figaro newspaper, it's "a fabulous ode to the art of the show.'' Rouge opens in New York and L.A. on May 18, and opens wide in the U.S. on June 11.
