Support to artists visits to Nordic countries

Professional artists, producers and cultural operators are welcome to apply for support for their visits to the Nordic countries. The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture announces the last deadline in 2009 for submitting applications; November 11th.

“This programme is aiming to promote mobility of professional artists from the Nordic and Baltic countries. This should contribute for the basis of innovative and dynamic cultural and art life within the Baltic Sea region”, Brigita Urmanaite, adviser at the Nordic Council of Ministers Office, tells

Before submitting grant application the applicant should think of the quality, detailed description and budget of the project as well as its innovativeness.

The financial support can be granted to professional artists working in all art forms and genres; to artists, authors, translators, curators, producers, cultural editors, researchers etc.

The grant is only for individuals going to/from Nordic countries; there is no age limit for the applicants. The last deadline in 2009 is November 11th.

 

The budget of the programme in 2009 is Euro 1,5 million (DKK 11 million) and it is financed by the governments of the Nordic and Baltic countries.


This Mobility Programme for Culture is run by the Nordic Culture Point, which is based in Helsinki, Finland. The general information is provided by the Nordic Council of Ministers Office.
