Lithuania Among the World’s Fifty Three Most Developed Countries

Lithuania has been included among countries with high human development in the United Nations Human Development Report for the third year running, ranking 49th among 173 countries.
Human Development Report 2002 divides world countries into those of high, medium and low human development considering average life expectancy, adult literacy, GDP per capita and purchasing power.
