WHO mourns passing of Professor Ihsan Dogramaci

WHO was saddened by the death of Professor Ihsan Dogramaci, who will be remembered for his tireless efforts and accomplishments in public health care. He was the last living signatory of the WHO Constitution, signed in New York in July 1946.

Professor Dogramaci's contribution to the work of WHO was substantial and has left a lasting legacy. He served as Vice-President of the World Health Assembly in 1976 and was also a member of WHO's Executive Board between 1976 and 1982. He established the Ihsan Dogramaci Family Health Foundation which awards a prize every two years for accomplished service in the field of family health.
