Poland_s Optimus Wants Internet Partners By End-H1

Published: 7 February 2000 y., Monday
Head of Optimus supervisory board Jerzy Kalinowski told Reuters his firm should find the strategic partner to take a stake in the portal in the first half of this year. He said in a brief interview that Optimus planned to choose an investment bank by the end of February to advise it on the sale of up to 49 percent in Optimus Pascal, its subsidiary that runs onet.pl, to one or two investors. Onet.pl competes with Wirtualna Polska, owned in part by Polish systems integrator Prokom Software and U.S. giant Intel , for the leadership on the Polish Internet portal market.
