Towards to the leading IT positions

Infobalt Association, uniting 160 Lithuanian IT Companies, starts the OUTSOURCE2LITHUANIA Project, aiming at putting Lithuanian IT companies into the leading positions in the offshore outsorcing market and creating a positive image of the Lithuanian IT market. “Lithuania has a strong intellectual potential, but is not yet known in the world as a country of programmers”, said T.Milaknis Vice-president for Export Development and Market Research of Infobalt and Director General of Alna, one of the biggest IT companies in Lithuania. The goal of the OUTSOURCE2LITHUANIA Project is to attract Nordic, U.K. and German companies to outsource software development services in Lithuania and it is expected that exports of such Lithuanian services will double in the coming two years. “There are many Lithuanian IT companies boasting excellent programmers, offering services for very competitive prices services. We expect to get orders for system integration, development of new software, etc.,”said Dziugas Juknys, Executive Director of Infobalt.
