121 arrests in Spain child porn raid

Published: 2 October 2008 y., Thursday

Spanish police have arrested 121 people in the country's biggest child pornography raid, seizing equipment containing millions of images.

Police say some of the suspects' own family members are in the pictures. Working in cooperation with police in Brazil, 800 Spanish police raided 210 homes across the country to smash a network swapping files, some showing images of an extreme nature. The arrested included pilots and taxi drivers and their ages range from old-age pensioners to minors.

It was a police operation on a massive scale.
