EU ready to approve agriculture draft

The European Union was ready to agree to a draft agriculture agreement under negotiation by major members of the World Trade Organisation, EU Agriculture Commissioner Franz Fischler said on Saturday.
Asked about the reaction of EU members to overnight negotiations between top WTO members on the farming section of the deal on relaunching global trade talks, Fischler said: "I think we have the capacity to say yes to the agreement."
Trading nations still have to negotiate on the other areas of the draft compromise, like market access on industrial products.
