Lukashenko: USA Conspire Attack on Belarus

Belarusian authoritarian ruler has a gut feeling of danger. USA are plotting an attack against Belarus, the “parliament” was told earlier this week by the politician, who is so nostalgic about Soviet times and who’s been long in the international isolation. The crony of the toppled dictator Saddam Hussein, he realizes well that his country, alongside with Syria, finds itself at US gunpoint, writes Der Stern.
Poland’s eastern neighbor Belarus hasn’t yet been blacklisted among the countries, supportive of international terrorism and possessing weapons of mass destruction. However, over a few years now USA have been blaming Belarus for doing business with Iraq, Libya, Syria and North Korea. However, they never presented any proof of that to the public.
Lukashenko, as no other European leader, strongly denounced the Iraqi war, calling it “the most cynical aggression since the 2nd World War”. Last week there circulated rumors in Minsk that Saddam Hussein or one of his sons could have possibly received political asylum in Belarus.
