At this meeting the policy of Russia regarding its closest neighbors, Belarus and Ukraine, the BelaPAN agency informs. It is planned that except the question of Russian-Belarusian relations, participants of the meeting are to discuss the OSCE role in Belarus. Such an aspect of the discussion, “EurActive” agency underlines, is the consequence of repeated Russian criticism concerning OSCE mission in Belarus. On November 8 the Russian party told about rescheduling of the summit, as they expressed a wish to talk to the new European Commission members. It was not elected by November 1, as it had been expected principally. When the information was received that the new European Commission is to become known on November 22, the parties agreed on the meeting in The Hague. It is expected that the Russian delegation is to be headed by Vladimir Putin. The result of the summit “European Union-Russia” is to become an agreement on bilateral cooperation between the European Union and Russia in the spheres of economy; science; freedom; security and rule of law; security and education.
