Marek Gumowski on Wednesday [29th November] resigned his post as head of the national council of the Christian Democracy of the Third Polish Republic, the party headed by Ex-president Lech Walesa.
For the time being he will be replaced by Piotr Blazejewski, who was appointed the party's deputy leader yesterday.
Last week, Gumowski was also recalled from his presidency of the Lech Walesa Institute in Warsaw.Blazejewski, 46, is a businessman and local government activist.
Lech Walesa had announced changes in his party's leadership following his low result in the recent presidential elections.
