Commander US Air Forces in Europe visit Lithuania

Commander US Air Force in Europe and Commander of NATO Allied Air Component Command will come to Lithuania on September 10. General Roger Brady will meet with representatives of Lithuanian Air Force.

Gen. R. Brady will visit Joint Staff of Lithuanian Armed Forces and meet with Head of Staff Brig. Gen. Algis Vaiceliunas. The guest will hear introduction on the Joint Staff, its functions and tasks.

Later the guest will proceed to the Defence Staff of the Ministry of National Defence where will meet with Commander Lithuanian Air Force Brig. Gen. Arturas Leita and other representatives of Lithuanian Armed Forces. Gen. R. Brady will familiarise with Lithuanian Air Force, its functions, activity, and NATO Baltic Air-policing mission.

General Brady will also visit the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and meet with the Vice Minister Gediminas Kirkilas and Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas. High officials will be addressing NATO Baltic Air-policing mission, current issues of NATO transformation, and other important points.

Gen. R. Brady is responsible for operations conducted by NATO Air Component and the US Air Forces in Europe and Africa.
